So with the amount of music as one can have in his/her collection, managing this can be a pain. So I started looking for solutions in my situation. I found a program called "Musicbrainz Picard". There is a huge database of metadata for music files and you are able to scan your music files and if you were to get a match, it would download the tags and allow the user to apply such tags to the music files. After using this program, I had some issues. The artists were too specific! Such as: it listed all of the artists that were involved in the track as the artist for that one track when it was released on only one of the artist's albums (which is the most important). I wanted to fix such issues! So I created my own python script that will do so. I used the os and eyeD3 package to edit the tags and make changes to the music files and folder names. Only the few different tools that would help me is what I created and future functionality is possible. musicTagTools.py
So I started work on an android app that I believe will help me understand many different fundamentals within the Android OS and different methods of encryption. I like to code on my desktop at home and also my laptop that I bring with me. I then started looking for resources that would allow me to bring my files with me wherever I go. I started looking at Github, however it is public and a private repository has a monthly subscription. I then started looking at BitBucket, it is free up to 5 users and is free! It will allow me to use my experiences with SVN to practice subversion at home and at school. It uses SourceTree for a client to get a visual representation of my files. Learn this will be fun.
